Genesis 6:8-9 “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
These are the generations of Noah, Noah was a just man and perfect in his
generations, and Noah walked with God.”

Noah was a man of great faith. God told him it would rain
although it had never rained before. He believed God when no one else would.
The sculpture by Singleton portrays this patriarch of great faith. The face of
Noah is stalwart and wise; one can see great and awesome experiences in the
features. He stands solidly on the ground. This is after his great adventure
and journey through the flood. In his hand is the dove. He looks down into his
hand gently holding the bird that signals the earth is safe and the water
departed.
